All That Remains returned to Baltimore on Tuesday, May 23rd, this time playing Baltimore Soundstage. On tour with them was Through Fire.
Local bands Bridge To Divide and Silence The Requiem opened the show, both of whom played for close to twenty minutes each. Silence The Requiem got the crowd to move, with a mosh pit opening up for a good part of their set. Bridge To Divide dedicated a song to anybody in the audience who had served in the military. They played a few different songs off of their recently released EP.
Through Fire took the stage and played for about half an hour. Their set started with their introduction song, “Reborn.” They played their current single, “Breathe,” which is getting played on radio stations across the country. Through Fire played a cover of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights,” also found on their debut album, Breathe. They ended their set with “Stronger,” their first single.
Finally, All That Remains began their set. They played for about 75 minutes to a crowd who was singing along to every word. The band started by playing “Madness,” the title track off of their album that was released last month. As soon as All That Remains played the first note of “The Last Time,” the crowd got even louder. They performed a cover of “The Thunder Rolls,” by Garth Brooks, which is also found on Madness. Guitarist Oli Herbert is one of those people who is so fun to watch while performing. After songs such as “For We Are Many” and “What If I Was Nothing?” All That Remains closed with “Two Weeks,” ending the night with a song that everybody in the audience knew.
