On June 15th, October Sky came to Voltage Lounge, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Icon For Hire’s You Can’t Kill Us Tour. Also opening up the show were Assuming We Survive and local band She Pulled The Trigger.

October Sky is a two-piece electronic alternative rock band from Montreal, Canada. They definitely have a unique sound that translates over extremely well to a live setting. Even though they were only able to play for about 20 minutes, October Sky got the crowd moving and won over many new fans that night. They made sure to play “Break Me If You Can,” the first single off of their most recent release, Rise. The band also played “Fall Back Down,” off of their 2012 album, The Aphotic Season. October Sky performed with a ton of energy, and seemed to love what they were doing. If you ever get the chance to see them, do not miss out on catching October Sky, as they are a band that will absolutely blow you away with their live show.
